Countries Where a Typical US Hair Dryer Is Unsafe

In the current PlugVoltage dataset, 34 of 40 tracked destinations produce a hard do-not-use verdict for a typical 120V-only high-watt US hair dryer.

Key finding. A plug adapter is not enough in high-voltage countries. For a typical 120V-only US hair dryer, the safer answer is a dual-voltage travel model, a local appliance, or leaving it at home.
