Source policy

Each country record carries claim-scoped evidence: source URL, authority type, territory scope, checked date, and the exact facts it supports. Legacy source strings remain visible during migration but never count as verified coverage.

Device profiles use the same fail-closed approach. Exact profile sources may verify a claim; representative-model manuals remain visible examples and never prove an entire device category.

Primary means every required claim has national or government evidence. Corroborated means coverage is complete but still relies partly on a non-binding standards-body reference. Partial and pending records remain in the re-verification queue.

The checker fails safe: uncertain device voltage, mixed local voltage, or high-wattage mismatch produces a check-label or do-not-use result instead of a casual approval.

This dataset is travel guidance, not electrical engineering certification. Confirm critical cases with the device label, local accommodation, manufacturer, or a qualified electrician.

Machine-readable releases are recorded in the dataset changelog. The country evidence export and device evidence export list partial or pending claims still in the review queues.
